Activity Support

Over The Wall

Over The Wall provides free Therapeutic Recreation camps to give fun and respite to young people with life-limiting illnesses. Weíre looking for enthusiastic volunteers to facilitate this by joining our Camp Bubble in a range of exciting roles. We have a variety of roles which allow you to be part of the team but also lead on activities such as games; arts & crafts; music; drama and the environment; as well safeguarding and photography. Camp is structured around activities; food and fun! The week will largely consist of singing camp songs; being covered in face paint and being challenged in fun ways such as wearing your pj's to breakfast or eating your dinner with socks on your hands. This means we're looking for people who can respond well to our campers and be a bit silly; but who are also able to be a sensible; supervising adult when necessary.

What skills do I need?

The only requirement is that you like children and are safe to care for them; placing their needs first. We believe that most of the skills & knowledge that help volunteers in their roles are already there; therefore the training days aim to pull the strengths of each individual to the forefront and share them with the rest of the team.
