Lancashire Heritage (2018) CIC
Becconsall Living Museum & Heritage Park is looking for volunteers who want to get involved in exciting building and site development projects. This role is ideal for practical people who enjoy hands-on work and want to help shape the future of the park.
We are currently working on major projects including the construction of a Nissen hut and a new Welcome Centre. Volunteers can help with these and other building works as part of a supportive team.
This role may include:
• Helping with general building work and site development projects.
• Assisting with the construction of the Nissen hut.
• Supporting work on the new Welcome Centre.
• Preparing materials and work areas.
• Carrying out light practical tasks under supervision.
• Moving items, tidying workspaces and helping with site organisation.
• Assisting with odd jobs connected to ongoing building projects.
• Supporting the team to keep projects progressing safely and efficiently.
Tasks can be matched to your confidence, experience and physical ability, and you’ll always have support nearby.
You don’t need professional building experience, but it would help if you:
• Enjoy practical, hands-on work.
• Are happy working outdoors and on site.
• Can follow instructions and work safely.
• Are reliable and willing to help with a range of tasks.
• Can work independently or as part of a team.
