Coffee Shop Volunteer

To be welcoming and assist in taking and serving orders; preparing drinks and snacks as required and ensuring the cafÈ is clean and tidy.

Prompt clearance and cleaning of tables Assisting in the day to day running of the CafÈ

Handling cash and credit/debit cards ï Putting out stock and checking for out of date items

Will be required to ensure high food safety is maintained at all times and in accordance with Food legislation.

General cleaning of all areas associated in the coffee shop (e.g. work surfaces; equipment; floors walls; stores area etc) whilst using appropriate cleaning materials/ chemicals equipment for the job; wearing specified personal protective clothing and completing cleaning schedules documentation.

Responsible for practicing good hygiene and health and safety in accordance with legal requirements; policies and procedures.

Removal of waste material in line with the Trust waste management policy including the cleanliness of the waste receptacles.

Ensure high standard of personal hygiene in accordance with legal requirements; policies and procedures.

Report any accidents / incidents and near misses

Monitor and record fridge temperatures and to take appropriate action of non-compliant temperatures

(Times Mon & Fri 10am-2pm

To complete Mandatory Training as necessary

To complete any specialist training which is relevant to the role

To collect payment from customers by cash or credit/debit card

Follow the appropriate food hygiene legislation and Health and Safety Guidelines.

Dealing with customer compliments/complaints
