Community Engagement Volunteer

Healthwatch Lancashire

You must be willing to listen to people's views about health and social care in Lancashire in locations such as hospitals; GP surgeries and community venues; using our surveys and questionnaires to gather patient experience. This intelligence will help to improve the services offered in Lancashire and will make a positive difference to the care the people of Lancashire receive.

What skills do I need?

Cultural awareness and sensitivity to the needs of others. An ability to remain non-judgemental. A willingness to exchange knowledge and develop/conduct activities to build the capacity of individuals. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Adaptability and flexibility to deal with challenging situations that may arise. An ability to remain calm but assertive in high pressure situations.
