Parbold Wildlife Group
Enthusiastic volunteers with an interest in wildlife conservation required to help a small local group to remove invasive plants from a wildflower meadow. The area has been designated as a biological heritage site and requires annual maintenance to remove plants such as thistles; which we wish to keep out of the grassland. Come and enjoy a morning of fresh air and modest exercise and contribute to looking after this important site. Full supervision; equipment and liquid refreshments provided.
No special skills or qualifications are required; although an interest in conservation and an ability to work under guidance and respect for the sites special qualities are important.
