Fundraising Community Hero Role

St Joseph's Hospice

Collecting and replacing tins we have in shops. Empty tins will need to be collected from the hospice in Thornton and full tins returned to the hospice.

Putting event leaflets and posters into local shops.

Helping to source raffle prizes from local businesses.

Supporting supermarket and street collections

Being our eyes and earsî within the community and letting the fundraising team know of any opportunities; e.g. fairs and events which we may be able to attend; local businesses that may support the hospice etc.

Supporting any events being held in the community in aid of the hospice (e.g. collecting cheques; attending coffee mornings to thank the organisers etc).

A team will consist of 2 or more people who will work together. Ideally volunteers will live in the area they are representing; or to have a connection to the area; as local knowledge is key.
