Management Committee Membership Vacancy

We need more Management Committee Members.

Some of our longstanding members have retired so we are inviting new members to join us. We are interested in hearing from people with a range of skills and experience and are keen to diversify the current committee.

About Us

We are the largest independent home improvement agency in Lancashire. We have over 30 years’ experience in home repairs and adaptations that allow older people, vulnerable people and those living with a long-term health condition live safely, independently, and comfortably in their own homes for as long as possible.

Our services include:

• Information & Advice

• Healthy Home Assessments

• Handyperson Service

• Home Adaptations & Repairs

We are a not-for-profit charitable organisation, which means any money that we make goes back into the organisation to support vulnerable people who cannot afford to pay for our services. We work in partnership with Health and Local Authorities who provide funding for us to deliver our services.

We are a Registered Society with Charitable status under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014, no: 27847R

Diversity:

Preston Care & Repair is committed to equal opportunities and encourages applications from anyone who can meet the criteria, regardless of gender, race, age, disability, sexual orientation, or religion.

Time commitment:

There are approximately 4 x 1.5hr Management Committee meetings a year, held during office hours (08.30 – 16.30), plus an approx 1hr Annual General Meeting.
