Are you looking for a new experience and would like to gain knowledge and understanding of working in the Birchwood Centre

Can you brighten up and improve the experience of visitors to Ennerdale Hub, providing a friendly and welcoming face to those visiting the Hub.

The Ennerdale Hub is an important location for those accessing the wide range of services delivered by Birchwood including our Mental Health & Wellbeing Service, Counselling Services, Homelessness & Housing Support and Social Inclusion Team.

This role will act as the first point of contact for visitors and service users providing a welcoming environment offering information and support as required. You will have excellent communication skills whilst an ability to listen and empathise with those accessing our services.

There will also be opportunities to gain knowledge of support services available whilst accessing a range of training opportunities within Birchwood Centre

What skills do I need?

What will I be doing?

To support the Birchwood Centre by:

• Being a welcoming and friendly point of contact at the Ennerdale Hub

• To ensure that visitors are directed to the relevant service and person

• To provide practical assistance as required e.g. opening the door, and making tea and coffee for clients

• To actively promote and champion the services of Birchwood Centre

• To direct and signpost people to information and support, via email or telephone

• Are comfortable in taking the initiative to approach people and offer assistance

• Ability to listen to questions and answer appropriately or signpost to others
