Reception Assessor

Our Reception Assessor volunteers are the public face of our offices; managing front of house and assisting on our drop-in days; you will greet the clients; undertake a basic assessment of their needs to help move them forwards.

What skills do I need?

Are you approachable; reliable; available for at least 8 hours a week and able to demonstrate the following skills: Listen and explore the issues the client faces? Show empathy and understanding? Present a client with the options available to them when reaching a solution? Empower a client to self help when directing them to the help available? Navigate through our online systems to provide the right information? Have digital skills e.g. Cut and paste information into a document? Provide written notes on action a client might need to take? Recognise when a person may require specialist help?
