Retail assistants at our Ormskirk Retail Hub

Woodlands Animal Sanctuary’s new retail-community hub is located in Ormskirk and we would welcome volunteers to help with general retail duties to include sorting and cleaning of incoming stock; pricing and displaying items on the shop floor; helping customers where needed and assisting on the till. Training will be given on all aspects including the till and cash handling.

The shop hours are Tuesday to Saturday 10am - 4.30pm and Sunday 10am - 2.30pm.

Volunteers can choose to support us for full days or part of our opening hours.

What skills do I need?

Attention to detail to make sure the items displayed for sale are in a good and clean condition.

Good inter-personal skills for interaction with our customers

Enthusiastic and versatile, to help us make this venture a success and to ensure the long term security of animals at our sanctuary.

There will be some cleaning duties to ensure the goods we sell and the shop environment has a high standard of cleanliness.

Be comfortable handling money and operating the till (after training)
