Retail Volunteer

YMCA

To assist in the effective operation of the YMCA shop, in accordance with YMCA

Retail policy and procedures. You will maximise shop sales, profits, donations

and gift aid sign ups by sorting and organising stock and providing a high

standard of customer service. You will uphold the YMCA’s professional reputation

and promote our services in the community, embracing the YMCA’s aims and

values.

What skills do I need?

Main responsibilities

The main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Assisting the team with daily operation of the shop. Including, sorting of

stock, pricing of stock, promoting and signing up to gift aid, display of stock,

till work and customer service.

2. Assisting with general tidying and cleaning of the store and work areas.

3. To undergo all mandatory training and follow YMCA policies and procedures

at all times, to ensure YMCA standards and general regulations are upheld.

4. Other responsibilities may include:

Social media posting, community relationship building, generating stock,

volunteer recruitment, attending volunteer meeting
