Social Media Creator Volunteer

Are you a keen Social media user, especially Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and other forms of social media

Do you have a creative background to promote and celebrate events online?

Can you brighten up and improve our social media presence at Birchwood Centre, providing a catchy and inviting social media post, to the community, our partners and supporters.

As the first point of contact for Social Media users, you will be able to provide up-to-date week-by-week publicity events. You will have excellent communication skills with the wider team in Birchwood Centre which comprises a team of Wellbeing Staff, Social Inclusion Team, Volunteer Coordinator, Housing & Homelessness Support and Counselling Services.

There will be opportunities to gain knowledge and understanding of support services available whilst accessing a range of additional training opportunities within Birchwood Centre.

What skills do I need?

What will I be doing?

To support the Birchwood Centre by:

• Create visually appealing and on-brand content for various social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, etc.).

• Write engaging captions that align with the brand’s voice and tone

• Schedule and publish posts using social media management tools to ensure a consistent posting schedule.

• Being a visible and friendly point of contact within the service

• Monitor social media channels for comments, messages, and mentions, and respond in a timely and professional manner.

• Assist with the planning and execution of social media campaigns and collaborations.

• Help coordinate giveaways, contests, and other interactive initiatives.

• To actively promote the services of Birchwood Centre
