Trustee

Ecumenical Centre

This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly, welcoming team of trustees that are dedicated to developing a thriving community centre in the heart of the town. We would welcome applications from people from a range of backgrounds and experiences including those from BAME communities.

The SEC has recently undergone significant refurbishment funded by The National Lottery Reaching Communities Fund.  The centre has a significant role to play in the local community in developing responsive services, providing quality spaces for community groups to utilise and to house other charitable organisations as tenants.  In 2020, we became a CIO - an important step in the centres journey to becoming a sustainable organisation that is fit for the future.

With this ambition in mind, we are aiming to recruit new trustees to join our existing board.  We are actively seeking people who have expertise in areas that will help us to develop the centre further.

What skills do I need?

In particular, we are looking for applications from individuals with:

- Legal background and experience

- Building and office development
