Volunteer Family Support Worker

Home-Start Central Lancashire

Home-Start support local families with a wide variety of needs. 

We are looking for Volunteers who can offer 2-3 hours each week, to visit the same family at their home, providing emotional support, practical support or an extra pair of hands with children. 

Training will be provided.


What skills do I need?

No qualifications are necessary. We are looking for people who have 'parenting experience' or who have a good understanding of the needs of parents of young children. 

Good communication skills and the confidence to support families, once trained, is necessary. Volunteers need to have a non-judgemental approach and the ability to follow Home-Start guidance and procedures.
